Our new EP “Druck” is now out everywhere
NOW, HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?
itty gritty guitars, Basses lower than my bank account, Syrian who punches the drums like they just commited war crimes, and Martin who eats the mic like a lollipop, TOT.ZEIT means pure emotion. Letting out what‘s inside, no matter where it comes from. The bands lyrics tell storys of grief, lust, pain, love, power and corruption. Nothings left behind, because everything is part of the experience of live. And this is what TOT.ZEIT is all about. Living and how we do it.
Syrian Huemer and Martin Linsi already knew each others years before the formation of tot.zeit. And most likely they met in a bar somewhere in the middle of Zürich in Switzerland. Teamed up with other friends and music lovers, they started their first attempt for a band. Located in an old, shaby house on the countryside of Canton Zürich, this attempt turned out fruitless and the band split up. Only three members were left under which Syrian and Martin were present.
In late 2019 the now new forming band moved to a new bandroom in a bunker in an office complex. No more moldy walls and clogged toilets - a fresh breeze of inspiration insstead went through the air and the band was ready to beginning anew.
Not long after though, the third member besides Syrian and Martin left as well, because he wanted to go different routes than actually being in a rock band. Well, fuck, with only Syrian and Martin left, there was now not even a singer. And on top of it all, the pandemic hit not long after, so finding a replacement felt impossible. Out of neccessity Martin picked up the microfon and to his own surprise grew to love singing to this day. The two realized, their chemistry was on point and they didn‘t need anyone else to realize their vision. There was love in the air. Love for music, that is.
And so tot.zeit was born
Thorughout Corona the band worked on it‘s first EP:DRUCK. It‘s out now and available on (insert streamer). The band had gigs in it‘s local bandroom and one in a local town. That‘s clearly not enough so Syrian and Martin are eager for 2023 and new chances to gig at fantastic locations and hopefully make your evening.
